Baltimore

Wednesday 27th October

Barb took me to the post office to post home parcel #4, then we had a wander around Michaels, the craft store.  I bought a few things that would be light in my suitcase but I could have bought more stuff.  I don't know if I told you this in my last trip but Michaels leaves Spotlight for dead when it comes to craft items.

Got home and checked my email, got a shock when I saw my Synergy bill, over 1000 units used between August 20th and October 20th, how could I use that much in 10 days, remember, I left home on the 30th August.

Thursday 28th October

Barb and I went in to Baltimore today for a walk around the harbour and the aquarium.  We stopped in at Phillip's restaurant for lunch, there was a queue for seating, always a good sign.  I like the way they deal with this, they take the customer's name and phone number and send then a text when a table is available.  We took this opportunity to take some photo's of the harbour.  Once we were called for lunch it was well worth the wait.  The crab cake was really good but unfortunately there was no room for dessert, Gemma's going to be very disappointed in her nan.

After lunch we visited the Aquarium.  It looked big from the outside but once inside I was overwhelmed as to the size of it.  We were greeted on entry by an Australian section which had been modelled on the Aussie outback.  There were some creatures in there I'd never seen or heard of so I guess it wasn't the WA outback. I won't go into all that we saw in the aquarium, I'll leave you to look at the photo's and in some of them you'll have to look very carefully to see what I saw.

We also went to watch the dolphin show.  I don't need to describe this to you, the photo's will tell you their story.  I did take some video too but you'll have to wait to see it as I don't have video editing software on my net book and the files are too large to upload.  I'm sure you don't mind waiting.
.
After we left the aquarium I took Barb on a first for her.  A visit to the top of Baltimore's World Trade Centre to the observation deck.  This one is free to enter.  It was a treat to see Barb's face once up there.  The view was, as usual for me, terrific, but for Barb, she could point out where she grew up.  Again, the photo's will tell the story.
