John was born on 9th March 1956 in Warrington, England.

I arranged a surprise birthday party at my house for him on Saturday 11th March 2006.

John is a bit of a Beatles fan so the theme I chose was The Beatles' Octopus's Garden.  I made up a web invite and an e-card for him.  To view the e-card it is best to use Internet Explorer or Firefox and turn your sound on.  Check it out here.

I decorated the back patio with an ocean mural, complete with flashing lights, and had tinsel to resemble seaweed, and numerous sea creatures hanging around the place.  His cake was a vinyl record with an octopus and friends to resemble the record label.
